The SCDOT Highway Safety Program works to review safety concerns seen on our roadways and determine how to decrease serious accidents and fatalities. They presented to the GPATS Policy Committee on February 27th, 2017. Their presentation, which can be found here, discusses common safety concerns in the GPATS region and the engineering techniques SCDOT uses to decrease these types of dangerous scenarios.
